Known Doctors was founded by Dr. Dereck Mush, MD, MBA. A doctor turned marketer turned entrepreneur, who has worked across medicine, research, health technology and business, and has helped hundreds of professionals package, position and communicate their expertise.
And no one should have to be.
A successful strategy might mean becoming highly visible. It might equally mean quietly becoming the specialist three companies pay to advise them. One doctor wants the stage, another the boardroom, another a better career, another to build a company.
We do not sell reach. We build the smallest amount of public evidence that makes the right people confident in you.
We repositioned her around the intersection of medicine and technology, grew her LinkedIn presence from approximately 500 to 6,700 followers and helped her secure a new role with a 4× salary increase within 90 days.
About sixty minutes a month. One strategy session at the start of the month where we agree the themes and capture your thinking, then roughly fifteen minutes across the month approving what goes out. Everything in between, research, drafting, design, scheduling, outreach and reporting, runs without you. Doctors who want more involvement can have it, but the engagement is built so that a full clinical week is never the bottleneck.
Yes, and everything is written in your voice. There are two ways we work, and you choose. We can create from scratch: we monitor what is moving in your field, the studies, guidelines, funding rounds, policy changes and debates, and draft commentary that reflects your position and clinical judgement. Or we can work from material you provide, whether that is voice notes, talks, drafts, case reflections or papers, and shape it into publishable work. Most doctors end up using both. Nothing is invented on your behalf and nothing publishes without your sign-off.
That is okay. That is not what this is. The objective is not follower count, viral posts or a personality brand. It is that the right twenty or thirty people, the ones who appoint advisors, fill boards, hire experts and issue speaking invitations, know precisely who you are and why you matter. The tone stays professional, evidence-led and consistent with how you would speak in a clinical or industry room. Reach is only useful here as a way of reaching those people.
LinkedIn is the primary channel, because that is where the people who issue opportunities actually make decisions. Beyond that we publish wherever your audience is: X, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube when video or a wider public audience serves the position, plus podcasts, newsletters and press. We also support publication in serious written venues, from peer-reviewed journals and society publications to trade and industry titles such as Doximity, Medscape, KevinMD, MedPage Today and mainstream outlets when a story warrants it. We do not run every channel by default. We run the ones your specific goal requires.
